This year as many other years I will be celebrating Valentine’s Day without the love of my life due to his job, because apparently we are very attached to having shelter & food.
That’s just fine don’t you be feeling sorry for me I do have 2 more loves I get to spoil on Valentine’s Day
3 Tbsp Butter
4 cups Mini Marshmallows
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
2 cup Hot Cinnamon Hearts Candies
STEP 1: In a large skillet melt butter on low heat. Add marshmallows and let them completely melt while stirring frequently.
STEP 2:When marshmallows are completely melted remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract. Add Rice Krispies cereal and cinnamon hearts. Stir until well coated.
STEP 3: Using buttered spatula press mixture evenly into the skillet. Let it cool down.
STEP 4: Pop the round shaped Rice Krispies treats onto cutting board and cut into wedges or use hear shaped cookie cutters to make Rice Krispies Hearts.
Tip: You can also dip HOT CINNAMON RICE KRISPIES TREATS in melted chocolate.
- I thought they were nifty from the title. Than I looked at the pictures and thought they were even niftier. Than I saw your recommendation for dipping in chocolate and fell in love. 🙂 I’m going to Pin this. I like red hots.
- I wouldn’t have thought to do anything but throw the red hots away. I wonder if I know anyone who likes them so I could throw them into this treat and present them… Either way I am pinning this to share because I am sure there are many who will love it. they look good.. unfortunately i would eat them all! My kids do not like hot stuff!
- You know, it never occurred to me to put anything in Rice Krispie treats. Now I know I can. I am going to try a few of the kids favorite small candies. Thanks for the idea!
- I love the way you opened this up! Too funny and YES your boys are handsome I always forget I have to remember to call mine handsome and not my little cuties What a great Valentines day recipe (HUGE cinnamon heart fan here!).
